The Latino Theater Company is doing something that hasn’t been done for decades.
The last time Los Angeles saw a full production of “The Dance and the Railroad,” it was 1993 and on the stage of East West Players. Now, 33 years later, David Henry Hwang’s two-hander returns to a former bank building on Spring Street.
It’s a play about immigrant laborers blasting a railroad through the Sierra Nevada, staged in the historic core of the city that labor helped build.
