Opening weekend of “Yellow Face” at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival felt like exactly the kind of theatrical gathering Ashland does best: a full house, a lively crowd and a play that gives audiences plenty to laugh about while simultaneously asking them to examine what they are laughing at.
Every seat was filled for the mockumentary-style production, which opened Aug. 5 in OSF’s Angus Bowmer Theatre. Written by David Henry Hwang and directed by May Adrales, “Yellow Face” runs through Oct. 23as part of the festival’s 2026 season.
