The Boston Symphony Orchestra will present its “Creation Festival” this fall.
The Boston Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Eric Jacobsen, will give the world premiere of “Creation,” a new opera commissioned by the BSO with music by Osvaldo Golijov, a book by David Henry Hwang, and lyrics by Leah Hager Cohen. The cast includes vocalist Cécile McLorin Salvant and bass-baritone Davóne Tines. The Tanglewood Festival Chorus, under Jean Sébastien Vallée, and the BSO x NEC Honors Children’s Choir, directed by Michele Adams, join the performance.
